Personal Bio
My childhood was spent on a psychedelic outpost in Northern California amidst its counter-culture on a lunatic commune in the 1970s. I was transplanted, at 13, to a remarkably more placid yet cold, rural New England of the 1980s. I went to Boston to art school after high school and fell in love with photography, my very first semester. In the 1990s I finished college at The San Francisco Art Institute, went to grad school at Stanford, spent a couple of in years in LA after grad school before moving back to the Bay Area where I worked in a graphic design firm in Silicon Valley and lived in San Francisco. In 2,000 I left the Bay Area and moved to rural Vermont.  I now live in the Champlain Valley, of Vermont, sometimes referred to as Vermont’s Banana Belt, on a little desert island with one palm tree with a majestic view to the West of the Adirondack Mountains and the setting sun, very close to Lake Champlain, with non-stop natural beauty just outside my front door.
